Bought one of these scopes locally, when I mounted it I realized the crosshairs were not level, canted about 10 deg to the left.
I returned it and the store tried 3 more new same scopes on different rifles and they all were the same.
I got my money back, but it is such a nice looking scope, I saw the same scope on Amazon wanted to get one and contacted the seller asking him to check the level before shipping it.
He called back the next day and told me he tried 10 of these new scopes on a level surface pointed at a spirit level and their crosshairs were all sloped to the left, he reimbursed me. I called NCStar and they e-mailed me instructions on how to file the bottom of the scope to get it level????
This is amazing how these scopes are not checked before leaving the manufacturing plant, maybe they are checked and sent out anyway.
If you do want one, be sure the seller checks the level.

I bought this for an AR. It was an excellent choice, Very clear optics. EAsy to mount and sight in. The length is perfect for the rifle. The different color optics work great in different lighting. Price was very low especially considering the value

ordered this scope for an AR rifle i was going to use for target shooting. was skeptical about these "budget" optics. you can read all over the web about people bashing budget optics and sticking to the "big" names. i have alot of "big" name scopes...they have plenty of problems too. for the cost i cant say a bad thing about this scope. the quick release mount is straight forward. gotta tighten the bracket screw before pulling on the lever. bit of guess work about too tight or too loose OR breaking it :). i took my time with the mounting and made sure it was secure and well placed. after bore-sigthing it i went to zero it with some real ammo. the expensive optics out there save u no time in zeroing. it took my about 4 rounds at 100 yards to get it. the windage and bullet drop compensator work perfectly. each "click" is a consistent one, exactly the movement u want. the sight is clear and the zoom stays clear all the way up to max magnification. its compact if not the lightest scope, but absolutely perfect for a .223 rifle. ive taken the scope and rifle out to 500 yards and had nice groups everytime. it has not lost zero in about 250 rounds fired. ive contacted ncstar email support for a few questions regarding accessories and the quick release lever. they have responded with detailed information and been a wonderful help. i have leupolds and eotechs where their support....well i was less impressed with, for the vast amount of my money they now have... anyway, if u have a target rifle and want to keep some coins to rub together, i recommend this rifle scope 100%.

I wondered when I read about the NcStar line of tactical Series scopes if they could be any good...Especially since they are 1/4 the starting price of any "Big Name" tactical scope.

The unit assembled perfectly to my rifle and the sighting ( using a Laser
Bore sight ) was easy and effective.

The unit is very accurate out to it's design parameters. I have not tried to use it for more than a few hundred yards as I really don't feel a tactital scope is the right match for basic Ruger Mini 14 at over 200 yards....

I am very pleased at the performance of this scope and have just ordered another for my Beretta CX Storm....

I bought this scope to mount on a flat top AR-15 with 20" barrel. It is absolutely perfect. It is very difficult to find a good scope for ARs. Most 3x9 scopes are too long to mount and still maintain a good shooting position with enough eye relief. Without a modified stock, a scope of less than 8" is almost a necessity. Most of the smaller tactical scopes such as the ACOG are very expensive (600$-1200$). This scope gives you comparable performance to an ACOG at 1/10 the price. I am in the army and use the ACOG regularly. The biggest advantage I can see of the ACOG over this scope is durability, (but how many of us honestly need a scope that is waterproof up to 100 meters and can withstand the shock of a two story fall?). This scope also gives you the added versatility of 3x9 power, when most of the more expensive tactical scopes are fixed 4x. The bullet drop compensator works great. The settings go from 100-500 meters. I was able too score hits on a life size silhouette at 500m. The performance at that range will vary depending on the load. So far I have gotten the best results with 55gr rem hp. The built in rail mount is also a great feature and secures the scope perfectly. The scope is well built and just plain looks cool.
To sum up:
If you are looking for an AR scope, this one is hard to beat. It is the right size, it performs well, it looks great, and it is affordable. In some categories it may not measure up to the more expensive tactical scopes (i.e. ACOG), but at 1/10 the price, it comes close enough.
